I woke up one morning to see a strange sight
Outside, from the window, some creatures were having a fight
They looked like, Oh no! Could it be? Yes, zombies
And for a moment my heart did stop and freeze
It's not even Halloween, are these just wacky costumes?
Fighting with stick, axes and brooms
And for a moment my heart did stop and freeze
It's not even Halloween, are these just wacky costumes?
Fighting with stick, axes and brooms
It was not just one or two, but so many of those weirdos
Fighting away, giving each other some blows
I screamed for my mother, I heard footsteps on the staircase
Relieved, I ran to the stairs, only to see zombies all over the place
I run to my room, lock the door, no use, the zombies break through
With twisted necks, and white eyes, their stare on me increasingly grew
I jumped out of the window, only to wake up with a scream
It was a nightmare after all, never a dream
For a moment my heart, the nightmare did steal
Thank god I'd woken up, for it had felt so real

ReplyDeleteOh my, I have those types of dreams too. I guess it occurs no matter what age we are. I mean they have zombies in commercials too. And they do feel so real that I am surprised sometimes that when we wake up that we do not have bite marks or bruises on our bodies.
ReplyDeleteYou really did take us on a short thrill ride. It was a lot of fun and I am so glad you woke up.
Thanks for sharing this with us for this weeks Theme Thursday. I hope you have a great weekend filled with nice dreams about cars, girls, candy, and comedy shows. And that you have lots of laughter while you are awake.
God bless.
Scary dream...I have had them and oh how they linger.
